Before You Begin
- Confirm you have the necessary permissions to access Parent Contact Notes.
- Have the communication details ready — date, type of contact, parent involved, and a summary of the conversation.
- Gather any documents to upload that were shared during the communication.
Steps
- Access Parent Contact Notes — Locate the Parent Contact Notes option on the left-side menu.
- Select a student and create a new note — Click Add to create a new contact note and find and select the student.
- Set the date and time — Click the calendar icon to select the date and time the communication occurred.
- Choose the contact type — Select from: Phone Call, In-Person, Email, Letter, or Other.
- Select the parent and enter notes — Choose the parent involved and write a detailed description of the conversation.
- Upload documents if applicable — Upload any documents shared during the communication.
- Submit the note — Click Submit to save the contact note.
- Review and edit notes if needed — Click the pencil icon next to a note to make edits.
- Delete notes if necessary — Use the delete option available next to the note.

Troubleshooting
- Parent Contact Notes not visible in the menu — Your account may not have the required permissions. Contact your campus coordinator or K12 Plus admin.
- Parent not appearing in the drop-down — Confirm the parent is linked to the student's record.
- Note not appearing after submission — Refresh the workspace. Do not submit a duplicate without confirming the original was not saved.
